Weddings
Omatua is a perfect all weather venue with extensive gardens allowing multiple wedding ceremony options and an abundance of photo opportunities in the summer, or an intimate fireside winter wedding in the ‘Von Dadelzen’ room.
The property and buildings are wheelchair accessible and include a fully equipped, commercial kitchen, toilet facilities, and accommodation for up to 47 guests, plus plenty of space for camping.
The indoor venue ‘Riddell Lodge’ can seat up to 120 guests, or 200 standing for a cocktail style event. In addition, we have a smaller more intimate venue in the dining room that can seat 60-80 guests beside the fireplace.
Our venue can also cater for a marquee style wedding, and we have a selection of packages available with local company ‘Flagship Events’ to help you set up a beautiful outdoor wedding. This includes marquee, lighting, set up and down, dance floor, and any additional hire items required. You can contact Flagship Events to discuss your needs.

We are lucky to have situated, within a 10 minute drive, a newly, beautifully renovated country lodge with 3 x King bedrooms and 1 x Queen bedroom which could accommodate extra family members or the bride and bridesmaids the night before / bride and groom the night of wedding.
